EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a standardized way for businesses to exchange documents electronically. Instead of paper or email, EDI uses structured data formats that computers can process automatically, speeding up transactions and reducing errors.
What can I do with Modalius?
Modalius helps you:

How long does file processing take?
Most files process within seconds to a few minutes. Files go through several stages: processing, mapping, and delivery. Complex files or high system volume may take longer. You can monitor progress on the file detail page.
Is Modalius available 24/7?
Yes, Modalius is available around the clock. Files are processed continuously. Support hours may vary - check our support page for current availability.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Modalius uses encryption for data in transit and at rest. All SFTP connections are encrypted. Credentials are stored securely in AWS Secrets Manager. We follow industry security practices to protect your information.
Does Modalius support multi-factor authentication?
Yes, Modalius supports MFA with two methods:
- Email verification - A 6-digit code is sent to your email address
- Authenticator App (TOTP) - Use an app like Google Authenticator or Authy to generate codes
Organizations can require MFA for all users to enhance security across the platform.
How do I set up MFA?
Go to your Profile page and find the Multi-Factor Authentication section. From there, you can choose either Email or Authenticator App as your preferred method. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
What if I lose my authenticator device?
Use one of your backup codes to log in, then set up a new authenticator device from your Profile. Backup codes are provided when you first set up the Authenticator App method. If you have lost both your device and your backup codes, contact your organization's administrator for assistance.
How do I unsubscribe from email notifications?
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Modalius notification email. This is a one-click process that does not require logging in. Once unsubscribed, you will no longer receive that type of email notification.
What browsers are supported?
Modalius works best with modern browsers:

What connection methods does Modalius support?
Modalius supports multiple ways to exchange files:
- Modalius SFTP - For partners who also use Modalius
