Logging In to Modalius – Modalius

Access Modalius through your web browser to manage your EDI files and trading partner relationships.

Accessing Modalius

Open your web browser
Navigate to app.modalius.com
Enter your email address
Enter your password
Click Sign In

If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled on your account, you will be prompted to complete an additional verification step before being signed in. See the MFA section below for details.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your Modalius account by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password. After entering your email and password, you will see a Multi-Factor Authentication screen prompting you to enter a verification code.

Modalius supports two MFA methods:

Email - A 6-digit passcode is sent to your email address. Enter this code on the MFA screen to continue.
Authenticator App - Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) and enter the 6-digit passcode displayed for Modalius.

After entering the 6-digit code, click Continue to complete your sign-in.

Lost access to your authenticator app? If you use an authenticator app and have lost access to it, click I Lost Access to my Authenticator App on the MFA screen. You will be asked to enter one of your 8-digit backup codes that were provided when you first set up MFA.

Keep your backup codes safe. Each backup code can only be used once. Store them in a secure location so you can recover access if needed.

MFA Setup on First Login

Some organizations require MFA for all users. If your organization has enabled mandatory MFA, you will be prompted to set it up the first time you log in (or the first time you access that organization after the requirement is enabled).

Choose your preferred MFA method: Email or Authenticator App
Click Initiate Setup
If you chose Email, a 6-digit passcode will be sent to your email. If you chose Authenticator App, scan the QR code displayed on screen using your authenticator app
Enter the 6-digit verification code and click Verify Setup
If you chose Authenticator App, you will receive a set of 8-digit backup codes. Save these in a secure location

Important: If your organization requires MFA, you will not be able to use Modalius until MFA setup is complete. The setup verification code expires after 10 minutes, and you have a maximum of 5 attempts to enter the correct code.

First-Time Login

If this is your first time logging in, you should have received an email invitation from your administrator. Click the link in that email to complete your registration:

Open the invitation email
Click the registration link
Verify your name and email (pre-filled from the invitation)
Create a strong password
Accept the terms of service if prompted
Click Complete Registration

Password Requirements: Your password must be at least 8 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.

Forgot Your Password?

On the login page, click Forgot password?
Enter your email address
Click Send Reset Link
Check your email for the verification code (6 digits)
Enter the verification code on the next screen
Create a new password that meets the password requirements

Session Timeout

Your session will remain active while you're using Modalius. For security purposes, your session will automatically expire after a period of inactivity. When this happens, you'll see a message saying "Your session has expired" and will need to sign in again.

Having Trouble?

If you cannot log in:

Verify you're using the correct email address
Check that Caps Lock is not enabled
Try resetting your password using the steps above
If you are stuck on the MFA screen, make sure you are entering the code from the correct source (email or authenticator app)
If you have lost access to your authenticator app and used all your backup codes, contact your administrator to reset your MFA configuration
Contact your administrator to verify your account is active
