The Dashboard is your home screen in Modalius, providing an overview of your EDI activity at a glance. View key metrics, track file processing trends, and monitor connection health all in one place.
Getting to the Dashboard
The Dashboard loads automatically when you log in. You can return to it at any time by clicking the Modalius logo in the top-left corner of the sidebar. The sidebar navigation is organized into the following sections:
- Files & Orders - Access your Files, Orders, and Errors
- Partners - View and manage partner relationships
- Organization - Manage your Business Units, Users, and User Groups
- Connections & Routing - Configure SFTP, AS2, and API connections
KPI Cards
At the top of the dashboard, you will see four key performance indicators:
- Total Files: The number of EDI files processed in the selected time period
- Success Rate: The percentage of files successfully delivered without errors
- Data Processed: The total volume of data transferred (shown in KB, MB, or GB)
- Avg Processing: The average time files take to process (in minutes)
Date Range Filter
Use the date picker at the top of the dashboard to change the time period displayed. All metrics and charts update based on your selection.
Preset Options:
- 7D -- Last 7 days (default)
- 30D -- Last 30 days
- 90D -- Last 90 days
- YTD -- Year to date
- Custom -- Select specific start and end dates
Activity Charts
The dashboard displays interactive charts to help you visualize your EDI activity:
- Business Unit Activity: Shows which business units are most active
- Current Success Rate: Gauge showing your current delivery success rate
- File Volume Over Time: Tracks the number of files over time
- Transaction Types: Breaks down files by document type (204, 214, 990, etc.)
- Partner Activity: Shows your most active trading partners
- Delivery Methods: Displays the distribution of connection types (SFTP, AS2, API)
- Connection Health: Shows the status of your partner connections
- Processing Pipeline: Funnel chart showing file flow through processing stages
- Exceptions: Tracks processing errors by type over time
Tip: Click on many charts to toggle between different visualizations (bar, line, pie, etc.). Look for the "Click to toggle" hint on supported charts.
Connection Health Indicators
The Connection Health chart shows the status of your partner connections:
- Green: Connection is healthy and operational
- Yellow: Connection is working but experiencing some issues
- Red: Connection is unreachable or has errors
Recent Files
The Recent Files table at the bottom shows your most recently processed files, including business unit information, timestamps, and delivery methods. Click on any file to view its details.
