The Events Timeline shows every status update for a shipment in chronological order, giving you a detailed history of where your shipment has been.
Accessing the Timeline
- Navigate to Orders
- Click on an order to view its details
- The 5 most recent events are displayed inline
- Click to expand and see all events
Event Types
The timeline can display many types of events:
| Event Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| In Transit | Shipment is moving between locations |
| Arrival at Pick-Up | Carrier arrived at origin to pick up goods |
| Departure from Pick-Up | Left pickup location with the load |
| Completed Loading | Finished loading goods at pickup |
| Arrival at Delivery | Arrived at destination |
| Departure from Delivery | Left delivery location |
| Completed Unloading | Finished unloading at destination |
| Arrival at Terminal | Arrived at a transfer hub |
| Departure from Terminal | Left transfer hub |
| Arrival at Customs | Customs clearance point |
| Transition to Connecting Line | Handed off to another carrier |
| Damaged | Damage to shipment reported |
Reading Event Details
Each event shows:
- Date and Time - When the event occurred (converted to local time based on event location)
- Location - City, state, and country
- Event Type - What happened at that location
Timeline Order
Events are displayed with the most recent at the top. Scroll down to see earlier events in the shipment's journey.
Missing Events
If expected events are missing, consider:
- The carrier may not have sent an update yet
- There may be a delay in EDI transmission
- The carrier may not report certain event types
Note: Event information comes from 214 (Shipment Status) transactions. The level of detail depends on what the carrier provides in their status updates.
