Understanding File Processing Stages

Every EDI file in Modalius progresses through a series of processing stages. Understanding these stages helps you track file progress and know what to expect at each step.

The Processing Flow

Most files move through this flow automatically without requiring any action from you.

What Happens at Each Stage

• Processing - The file has been received and is being parsed. The system validates the EDI structure and extracts transaction data.
• Processed - Parsing is complete. The file content has been validated and is ready for transformation.
• Mapping - The data is being transformed to match your partner's required format.
• Mapped - Transformation is complete. The file is ready to be sent to your partner.
• Delivering - The file is being transmitted via SFTP, AS2, or another configured connection.
• Delivered - The file has been successfully sent to your partner's system.
• Closed - Processing is complete and the file has been archived.

When Something Goes Wrong

If an error occurs at any stage, the file will show an error status:

• Error Processing - File could not be parsed
• Error Mapping - Data could not be transformed
• Error Delivery - File could not be transmitted
