Error Processing
This error occurs when the file cannot be parsed or validated.
Common Causes:
- Invalid EDI format or structure
- Missing required segments or elements
- Unsupported transaction type
- File corruption during transfer
- Incorrect character encoding
How to Resolve:
- Click on the file to view the specific error message
- Validate your EDI file with an EDI validator tool
- Check for missing or malformed segments
- Verify the transaction type is supported
- If the source file is corrupted, request a new file from your partner
Error Mapping
This error occurs when the data cannot be transformed to the required output format.
Common Causes:
- Missing partner configuration or mapping rules
- Unexpected or invalid data values
- Required fields not present in the source file
- Data format mismatch (e.g., date formats)
How to Resolve:
- Review the error message for specific field issues
- Verify the partner's mapping configuration is complete
- Check that all required data is present in the source
- Contact support if mapping rules need adjustment
- Click Retry after the issue is resolved
Error Delivery
This error occurs when the file cannot be transmitted to the destination.
Common Causes:
- Partner's server is unavailable or unreachable
- Authentication failed (credentials changed)
- Network timeout or connection issues
- Destination folder doesn't exist or lacks permissions
- Partner's disk is full
How to Resolve:
- Check the partner's connection health indicator
- Verify the partner's system is accessible
- Confirm credentials haven't changed
- Contact your partner to verify their system is ready to receive
- Click Retry once connectivity is restored
General Error
This indicates an unexpected system error occurred during processing.
How to Resolve:
- Wait a few minutes and click Retry
- If the error persists, note the error details
- Contact support with the file ID and error message
Finding Error Details
- Navigate to Files
- Click on the file with an error status
- Look for the error message in the file details
- Check the History section for more context
Before Retrying: Always address the root cause before clicking Retry. Retrying without fixing the underlying issue will result in the same error.
